FAQ

What services do you provide?
I offer a complete lamp restoration including procuring/cleaning/spraying/polishing/rebuilding and rewiring on a variety of vintage lighting including Anglepoise, Hadrill Horstmann and Conran lamps. PLEASE NOTE: Lamps in stock are for VINTAGEFUTURES™ customers seeking restorations, not to purchase from me and restore themselves so bear this in mind when contacting me for information, thank you.

How long does a lamp restoration take?
From start to finish a total restored and rebuilt lamp will take around 6-8weeks.

How much will a complete restoration cost me if I don’t already own a lamp?
Each lamp is client specific so depending on finishes I can quote accordingly which will include me procuring a lamp for you.

I already own a lamp, can you restore it for me please?
Sure thing, email me with a few photos of your lamp to explain what you would like.

How much will a complete restoration cost if you use my existing lamp?
I can quote for parts and materials along with my labour charge but please contact me for exact lamp requirements as this will affect your quote.

Can you help me find spare parts for my lamp?
Yes, let me know what spares you need and I will endeavour to help. Due to time spent searching for parts / using personal contacts there could be a fee for this bespoke service.

Can I choose the fabric cable colour for my lamps new wiring?
Yes, there is a myriad of colours to choose from!

Can I choose to have my lamp painted in my choice of colour?
Yes, I can spray your lamp in any colour of your choice.

Can you rewire a lamp I already own?
Yes, all I need to know is your preferred fabric cable colour.

Will the lamp be PAT tested?
Yes. I require every lamp to be fully PAT tested, obtaining a pass certificate which ensures safety standards are met and customer safety is maintained. This is non-negotiable and will be explained at the outset of every project. An external company undertakes the PAT testing, this additional fee will be added to your lamp quote.
